1. Which brands are part of Melbourne Canteen?
Melbourne Canteen brings together four of our ventures:
Kesar – homestyle Indian meals
Misht – modern mithai and sweets
Urban Thela – playful Indian-inspired snacks
Munch Club – healthy bites for everyday snacking
2. Where do you deliver?
We deliver across Melbourne, its suburbs, and the Mornington Peninsula. Some areas may be serviced by our own delivery team, while others are handled by trusted courier partners.
3. How far in advance do I need to order?
All orders must be placed at least 2 days in advance. The daily cut-off time is 8:00 PM.
4. Can I request a specific delivery date and time?
Yes — you’ll be able to select from available delivery dates at checkout. We’ll do our best to deliver within your preferred time window, but please note that traffic and courier schedules may affect the exact delivery time.
5. Do you accept returns if I change my mind?
Because we sell perishable food, we generally cannot accept change-of-mind returns once an order has been dispatched.
For non-perishable items (like merchandise or packaging accessories), unopened products may be returned within 14 days. See our [Returns & Replacement Policy] for details.
6. What if my order is damaged, incorrect, or missing items?
If something’s not right, please contact us as soon as possible (ideally within 48 hours for perishable products) with your order number and photos. We’ll work with you to arrange a replacement, refund, or credit.
7. How do you handle food allergies?
We follow the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code and use Plain English Allergen Labelling (PEAL) on all products. Please read the labels carefully and get in touch with us if you have any specific concerns.
8. Do your prices include GST?
Yes — all prices are in AUD and include GST where applicable. Shipping costs (if any) are shown at checkout.
9. How are perishable items packaged for delivery?
We pack food with care, often using insulated packaging and ice packs, to ensure freshness during transit. We recommend refrigerating or freezing items as soon as they arrive.
10. Can I order from multiple brands in one checkout?
Not at the moment. Kesar meals are exclusively available through the Cookaborough platform, while Misht sweets can be ordered directly from our website. Our other brands — Urban Thela and Munch Club — will also be available here as they launch.
11. Do you offer catering or bulk orders?
Yes! Kesar offers catering for special occasions, and Misht creates beautiful gifting and bulk sweet boxes for events or corporate needs. Get in touch with us to discuss menus, quantities, and customisation.
12. Do you offer gift options?
Absolutely. Misht hampers and gift boxes make elegant presents, and we’re also developing Urban Thela snack boxes and Munch Club bundles that are perfect for sharing.
13. Do you do wholesale?
Yes — we supply selected retailers and partners. Contact us to request our wholesale catalogue and pricing.
